Let’s talk about the architecture of your soul. A lot of folks consider self-discovery as something you strip down to—like you are a perfect marble statue, and healing is just chipping away the trauma until you reach a static version of the self.
But I prefer the esoteric traditions that view the soul as something you grow. You are an ecosystem. You are a cauldron. You ferment. It takes time, heat, and space to digest your life experiences so they can actually become you.

Here is a dynamic I see constantly. A lot of spiritual folks get super intuitive, right? They get incredibly skilled at flying with their soul bodies. They can astral project and read tarot. But their physical body? It gets absolutely wrecked. They don’t know how to take care of their physical root.
People project so much shame onto the sacral and navel areas because they deem them “low vibe.” What do you mean, money? What do you mean, routine? What do you mean, sex or power?
But baby, the navel—the Manipura, the Lower Dantian—is the furnace of your entire vehicle.
In Chinese esoteric medicine, as taught masterfully by Mantak Chia, this lower center is where your Jing energy lives. Jing is the highly potent, generative life force that resides in your lower abdomen. It is hot. It is sticky. It is dynamic. It is the literal raw material used for sexual pleasure and grounding your spirit into the 3D plane. If you have a dead navel center, you are not going to have the battery power to do your mystical work. It is just basic astral math.
When your navel turns on, you don’t just get hungry for food. You get hungry for life. You get your killer instinct. You realize that having the capacity for force and boundaries isn’t unspiritual—it’s necessary. Think of John Wineland’s work on masculine polarity and holding your core. Wineland teaches that to lead and hold space in the world, you must develop a fierce, piercing, grounded energy in your base. You have to pull your energy down from the cosmos and anchor it in your gut.
If you constantly feel ungrounded, spacey, or like you’re trapped in your head, you need to work on your base. You need to gather all that dispersed, frantic energy and pack your qi back into the center of your being, compressing it into a dense pearl.
When you learn how to zip your energy into this pearl, you create a reserve of power you can draw from when you need to enforce a boundary, make a big career move, or simply feel alive in your bones.
Stop pawning off the power of your belly. You do not have to be a martyr to be holy. If you want to learn the actual, tangible architecture of this, my course Integrated Energetic Bodywork is a deep dive into the esoteric TCM maps and how to build your lower cauldron safely.
