How to not feel “fake” when you say affirmations

  1. joke about it

  2. play, keep readjusting, calibrating the language until the vibe matches

Example:

“Today, I am brimming with energy and overflowing with joy.”

nope i definitely don’t feel like that right now, I’m tired and I’d want rest and I feel trapped and I can’t say those words honestly..

1.Joke about it:

“Today I have the energy to bitch about my problems at least”

haha

2. Readjust it:

“Today, I acknowledge that I want more energy and I could at least take action steps to feel more energetic right now…”

“I don’t feel energetic yet, but I WILL BE.” …”GIVE ME TEN MINUTES.”

“I’m gonna focus on things that Give me energy right now, like maybe play some really fun old school jams while continuing work”… “A Really Cold Shower could do the trick”

“I’m gonna feel amazing after that shower”

“I’m going to feel amazing while singing said Old School Jam in the shower.”

“Hoh my goodness I want to do that shower just about now”

“I feel energetic right now.”

“this MIGHT BE the best bath ever.”

hahaha

“Today, I am brimming with energy and overflowing with joy.”
